Tools used in development: Adobe Illustrator, Articulate Storyline

Client: Minnesota School Age Care Programs

Challenges

In 2017, Minnesota enacted new legislation that impacts School Age Care programs. One of the new requirements is that each employee receives two hours of Child Development training every year.

Each school district and childcare program in Minnesota has independently developed training to meet this requirement. The quality and engagement levels vary by the resources and talent that each program has access to in order to build these courses.

Solution

This is a portion of a course that is still in process, intended to meet a portion of the two-hour training requirement. Once complete, this course will be available for all Minnesota school-age childcare programs.

Results

While creating this course, I learned several new skills. In Adobe Illustrator, I learned how to draw, group, scale, and export assets. In Articulate Storyline, I learned to use lightboxes, drag and drop quizzes, and how to build a variety of triggers and order them for proper functionality.
